FIELD: optical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device for compressing and widening optical beam has unit made of two prisms disposed at an angle to each other. Device also has mirror which connects optically both prisms and is fixed against refraction angles of both prisms in parallel to axis of entrance optical beam. Prism being the second on the path of optical beam is turned around axis formed by point of crossing of refracting face of the prism and axis of entrance optical beam in such a way angle between like faces of prisms is β=arcsin(n·sinα)-α, where α is angle of refraction of prisms and n is refraction factor of material of prisms. Device provides alignment of input an output optical beams and turn-over of image.
EFFECT: improved precision of operation.
