FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, equipment for measuring force of wedging of particles in grid openings.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus has casing with closure and cap. Central rod with sharpened conical lower needle-shaped end is mounted inside casing in aligned relation with respect to axis of symmetry. Rod is rigidly attached to capsule provided with stop welded thereto. Coil-type compression spring is put onto central rod so that said spring abuts against casing top wall and capsule bottom. Casing is provided with gauged scale and slot for receiving of signaling flag movable under the action of capsule stop. In the course of measuring of wedging force, needle is fed to wedged particle. During forcing out of particle, spring is compressed. Signaling flag is moved in slot by capsule stop to indicate force required for forcing out of said particle from grid opening.
EFFECT: increased effectiveness in determining of force needed for cleaning of grid and provision for designing of adequate cleaning equipment.
