FIELD: metallurgy, in particular briquette composition for slag making.
SUBSTANCE: slag-making briquette contains (mass %) fluorspar concentrate 10-35; nepheline concentrate 0-40; binder (organic adhesives) 5-15; carbonic material 0-10; blast-furnace slag 20-55; and vermiculite as reinforcing material 5-20. Invention affords the ability to optimize slag regime in ladle-to-mold casting; increase briquette strength and decrease its density; reduce surface discharge by 1.5-2 times; decrease metal loss causing by cleaning and additional chipping.
EFFECT: ingot of improved quality and reduced cost.
