FIELD: aniline dye industry, in particular direct black tetrakisazo dyes for staining and printing of textile materials.
SUBSTANCE: claimed method includes tetrazotization of 4,4'-diaminebiphenyl-2-sulfonic acid, coupling reaction of tetrazotized compound with 2-amino-8-naphthol-6-sulfonic acid in base medium, tetrazotization of obtained disazotized compound, coupling of obtained tetrazotized disazotised compound with 1,3-diaminobenzene or N-β-hydroxiethyl-1,3-phenylenediamine at pH 2.0-2.5, treatment of obtained tetrakisazotised compound with base up to pH 9.0-9.3, followed by filtration. Obtained target dye is preferably treated with inert filler to provide commercial dye.
EFFECT: dyes with dyeing class of 750-780 % and commercial dyes with dyeing class of 675 %.
