FIELD: metal working, cutting thread in dead openings with use of safety chuck.
SUBSTANCE: tap includes inlet and sizing portions, stem and stop. In order to lower load of tap at arresting, stop is fixed on end of inlet portion and it has outer diameter equal to diameter of tap core. Stop may be in the form of ring or rod and it may be made of elastic material.
EFFECT: improved design providing lowered load of tap.
