FIELD: electronic engineering; device for displaying alphanumeric, graphical, and television information.
SUBSTANCE: proposed gas panel has display elements 6 disposed between top and bottom dielectric plates 1 and 2, respectively, and joined together over perimeter by sealing weld 3 to form main enclosed space 4, as well as additional enclosed space 9 formed by bottom dielectric plate 2, additional plate 10, and second sealing weld 11. Electrode-to-electrode distance in display elements is maintained within desired limits by keeping working gas in main enclosed space 4 at lower pressure than in additional enclosed space 9.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of gas panel under low atmospheric pressure conditions.
