FIELD: controlling submersible motor-driven pump by means of electric-contact pressure gage.
SUBSTANCE: proposed relay-type device makes use of electric-contact pressure gage mounted on pipeline feeding water to gravity tank for automatic control of submersible motor-driven pump. The latter is energized in response to closure of low-pressure level contact of electric-contact pressure gage and is accordingly deenergized when high-pressure level contact closes. Time relay inserted in circuits passing control signal from electric-contact pressure gage functions to protect motor-driven pump against unwanted closing and opening of its power circuit on operation of electric-contact pressure gage due to water hammers. Only one time relay is used in circuit for on- and off-operation signals.
EFFECT: simplified design.
