FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of measuring characteristics of interaction of freight car and rail track and to equipment used at testing of freight car. According to proposed method, friction force between support units of bogie and body are recorded, friction force being determined by measuring bearer containing cap with load cells installed without clearance between rods of load cells and walls of support. Inner dimensions of cap provide possibility of fitting-in steel plates of different thickness and number to adjust clearances in bogie bearers. Lower plate in contact with bushings, bushings and shafts are thermally treated, and contact surfaces in zone of contact of step with step bearing and bushings with inner surfaces of cap of measuring bearers are lubricated.
EFFECT: reduced intensity of side wear of wheel flanges and inner side faces of rail heads.
