FIELD: sewing industry.
SUBSTANCE: thread feeding apparatus has at least one thread spotting lever positioned for displacement on casing. Thread spotting lever is positioned for displacement between operating position and signaling position. When thread guide defining thread detecting device is in operating position, it is substantially aligned with thread guiding member, for example, eyelets of thread guiding members. In the region above operating position in the course of motion, thread spotter encounters stop, behind which it may not be shifted by thread. To provide for access to thread guiding members, in particular for thread charging, thread spotter lever is made resilient. Lower end of thread spotting lever may be manually moved upward behind stop for defining free space between thread guiding members.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved access to thread guiding members.
