HIGH BRIDGE GUARD RAILING POST UNIT Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: road building; barriers of bridges and overhead roads.

SUBSTANCE: proposed bridge guard railing post unit of height H contains post with cantilever installed on roadbed with longitudinal inclined beam and tie-rod secured on post. Post rests on additional supporting member of width (0.385-0.395)H provided with anchor bolts. Beam is tilted at angle of 7-8 deg to vertical in direction of vehicles running. Distance in vertical from middle line along width of beam to base of post is equal to (0.75-0.76)H. Maximum width of unit is (0.69-0.70)H, two longitudinal tie-rods being mounted on unit.

EFFECT: improved operating characteristics and reliability of bridge guard railing.
