FIELD: medicine, oncology.
SUBSTANCE: in patients before treatment one should detect the content of total 17-oxycorticosteroids, cortisol, cortisone, tetrahydrocortisol, tetrahydrocortisone in daily urine to calculate the ratio for the concentration of total 17-oxycorticosteroids to the sum of cortisol, cortisone, tetrahydrocortisol, tetrahydrocortisone concentrations and at ratio value being below 2.0 (1.1-1.6) it is possible to predict the duration of relapse-free period ranged 3-6 yr after the end of complex therapy, and at ratio value being above 2.0 (2.4-3.2) - the development of relapse for terms up to 1.5 yr after therapy conducted. The method provides accuracy, availability and requires no high financial expenses.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of prediction.
