FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed electric motor that can be used in electromagnetic drives of actuating mechanisms for turning the latter through certain angle and locking them in extreme positions has stator carrying at least one control winding and rotor with poles in the form of layers of permanent magnets disposed at ends of rotor magnetic circuit. Side surfaces of rotor bear symmetrical slots whose sizes are chosen to ensure saturation of rotor magnetic circuit material. Slots accommodate additional layers of permanent magnets whose poles coincide with adjacent poles of rotor.
EFFECT: enhanced force of interaction between magnets and stator field; improved characteristics and enhanced speed of motor.
