FIELD: agriculture, in particular, recultivation of soil contaminated with petroleum and petroleum by-products.
SUBSTANCE: method involves planting onto areas of petroleum contaminated soil of plants preferably forming in their root zone microbe association with increased content of microbes and improved emulsifying properties. Biomass of underground part of plants constitutes at least 71.8 g/m2 on conversion to weight of dry substance or 143.6 g/m2 by weight of biomass in crude state. Plants preferably used are red clover, white clover, colonial bent, false wheat, Kentucky bluegrass, orchard grass, timothy, meadow fescue, common yarrow.
EFFECT: simplified process and increased extent of cleaning soil from petroleum contaminants.
