APPARATUS FOR MANUAL PICKING UP OF FRUITS FROM TREES Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, manual remote collection of fruits from trees.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus has box-like casing with double-sided double grip equipped with double slot having parallel vertical double edges and oval-shaped apexes, spring-loaded mechanism adapted for intersecting fruit stem and provided with drive tie-rod and knife whose blade is inserted into double grip and joined with double slot, collecting vessel with throat perpendicular to grip, and unit for attachment to pole. Mechanism for intersecting fruit stem is made double-linked and of leverage type and has knife made in the form of spring-loaded crank lever having acute angle between its arms and mounted on immovable axle of rotation. End of one of arms is pivotally connected with drive tie-rod and end of other arm is formed as blade with edge. Axles of pivot joint are connected along straight line arranged near first arm and spaced apart therefrom. Immovable axle of rotation of knife-lever is positioned on casing below lower level of double slot. Such construction prevents cutting tool from jamming.

EFFECT: simplified construction, enhanced reliability in operation, and reduced operating loading of mechanism components.
