FIELD: rolling and tube welding processes and equipment, namely apparatuses for accumulating strip.

SUBSTANCE: helical accumulator of strip includes guiding and discharging rollers, inner and outer stationary guides with idle rollers mounted vertically on housing of said guides, outlet inclined roller guide and rotation drive of carrying rollers. Strip accumulator is provided with inclined prisms mounted in housing of inner guide under carrying drive rollers. Said prisms are mounted in guiding units with possibility of motion from drive mechanism. One bearing unit of each carrying drive roller is jointly secured to framework; its second bearing unit is mounted with use of bracket on tie rods jointly secured to housing of inner guide and it is pressed by springs to inclined surface of prism through roller secured to bracket. Each carrying roller is joined with rotation drive through cardan shaft.

EFFECT: lowered wear of surfaces of carrying rollers, enhanced capability for restoration of equipment, increased volume of reserved strip, reduced friction between turns of strip.
