AUTOMOBILE SEMITRAILER Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: automotive industry.

SUBSTANCE: proposed semitrailer consists of frame intercoupled through support sheet with fifth wheel couple gear of truck-tractor, body, springs with axle and pneumatic brake system with brake chambers of wheel brakes. Wheel axle is made sectional, consisting of two articulated parts whose mated ends are furnished with corresponding slot and curvilinear projection connected also by hinge joint with spring-loaded piston of pneumatic cylinder. Spring-loaded piston of pneumatic cylinder is hinge-secured on frame of semitrailer, and its inner space is connected to brake chambers of wheels. Each spring is hinge-mounted on said parts of axles of semitrailer wheels.

EFFECT: improved safety of trailer-trains at braking.
