FIELD: electromechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed electrical machine has stator with current-carrying windings, rotor with field windings, shaft mounted in bearings, and fixed slip rings with ring holders. Rotor is built of two shaft-mounted disks with hubs, and a few inductance coils with cores installed between them in axial plane and bolted to disks. Bolt heads function as pole shoes. All coils are enclosed in copper cylinders and interconnected in series to set up unidirectional magnetic flux. Input and output leads of rotor common field winding are connected to fixed slip rings secured on shaft at left- and right-hand ends of rotor and are held in permanent contact with fixed slip rings secured on stator walls and held in position by means of hold-down springs. Fixed slip rings are connected in parallel with common terminals. Stator winding is built of two parts disposed on left- and right-hand ends of rotor and secured on stator walls; each part of winding has several current-carrying coils wound on ring-shaped disk. Current-carrying coils are interconnected in series on each ring-shaped disk to form left and right parallel-interconnected stator windings connected in parallel with rotor winding.
EFFECT: improved performance characteristics and enhanced operating reliability of electrical machine.
