FIELD: mechanical engineering, particularly toothed gear wheel production.
SUBSTANCE: method for shaping toothed gear wheels by running-in process involves imparting rotation to the first member, namely wheel to be processed, imparting rotation and reciprocation to the second member, namely round composite complete shaping cutter composed of coaxial upper and lower parts so that the parts may be demounted and separately regrinded to realize sharing scheme of cutting layers. Upper part is used for final wheel teeth profiling, lower one is utilized for prior profiling thereof. Lower part is refaced to provide cutting layer sharing between the parts in predetermined ratio. Two sectional washers are installed between the parts. Inner diameter of each washer is equal to seating diameter of each part. Parts include fixing pin embedded in one part. Fixing pin is inserted into orifice of another washer. Washers are glued to the parts during assemblage thereof. Teeth axes of one part are arranged in single longitudinal plane.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and stability of wheel parameters.
