FIELD: water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for preparation of coagulant based on basic aluminum chlorides. Coagulant of invention can be used to free natural and drinking waters from suspended admixtures and manifests disinfecting activity against pathogenic microorganisms. Solid aluminum chloride-containing coagulant is prepared from liquid colloidal solution of aluminum hydroxochloride with dynamic viscosity 90-180 Pa*s, which is subjected to reaction with hexamethylenetetramine at weight ratio 1:(0.01-0.10), respectively. Reaction proceeds at ambient temperature without consumption of energy over a short time. Product is molded into tablets, which are easy to individually use in production of drinking water under extreme conditions.
EFFECT: reduced expenses on material and power consumption.
