FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: process comprises two-step regenerative heating of bauxite pulp in heaters, first with steam condensate resulted from first-step self-vaporization of leached pulp and then with steam itself, after which preheated pulp is pumped through a series of autoclaves wherein it is heated finally with heat-and-power plant steam and then subjected to two-step self-vaporization in self-vaporizers. Ratio of heating surfaces in the first- and second-step heaters is maintained between 0.25 and 0.40 and excess pressure of steam in the first step of self-vaporization equals 6.0-7.0 atm.
EFFECT: enabled maximum use of heat of the first step of self-vaporization of leached pulp.
