SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection of metals against corrosion using inhibitors. Invention proposes using substance of thiazolidine class of the formula:
, i. e. 3-N-(p-nitrophenyl)-aminomethylene-5-(p-bromobenzylidene)-thiazolidione-2,4 as inhibitor of brass corrosion in alkaline and acid media. Invention provides enhancing protection degree in polymetallic systems with other metals, in particular, with steel. Inhibitor shows low toxicity, multi-functionality and stability in acid and glycolic media in long-term applying.
EFFECT: valuable properties of inhibitor.
