FIELD: building and building structures, particularly connection means to connect partition panels, namely framed wall or office partition panels having transparent or dead inner members framed with profiled frame.
SUBSTANCE: butt joint comprises lock unit formed by plates and by spacing member connected one to another to form H-shaped structure. At least one plate is made as flat leaf spring and is in stressed state at butt joint. Butt joint also has U-shaped or C-shaped profiles connected correspondingly to ends or to side surfaces of panels to be joined and having opened cavities facing each other. The cavities are defined by side walls and bridge connecting the side walls. Each side wall of each profile has longitudinal slot facing the cavity. The slot is bounded from cutoff line of the joint by side wall ledge brought into direct engagement or in contact through sealing pad with corresponding ledge of another U-shaper or C-shaped profile. End parts of each plate are inserted into corresponding longitudinal slots of side profile walls. Flat leaf spring length measured between spring ends inserted in slots of side wall of one U-shaped or C-shaped profile exceeds distance between walls of above slots brought into contact with leaf spring ends by value equal to flat leaf spring thickness. Distance between longitudinal slots made in side walls of U-shaped or C-shaped profiles brought into direct engagement or into contact through sealing pad and secured to corresponding panels to be joined when butt joined is in its closed position is less than distance between the plates in spacer location area. Lock unit for the butt joint is also disclosed.
EFFECT: increased reliability and service life due to provision of safe resilient connection of the panels in joint area, namely by provision of oncoming forces directed transversely to contact line between the panels in butt joint area and being applied to the panels after joint locking and preventing joint opening, wherein panels may be placed in joint area, possibility of repeated opening and locking the joint without substantial dynamic influence on the joint under low panel shock force.
