FIELD: separation of suspended coarse-dispersed and colloidal agents from water by liming, coagulation and flocculation in water clarifiers.

SUBSTANCE: proposed clarifier has cylindrical housing, starting water, coagulant solution, reagent solution and flocculant solution supply pipes, air separator equipped with nozzle provided with radial branch pipes with rectangular elbow directed upward and fitted with cone bell mouth; clarifier is also provided with sludge compactor and clarified water discharge unit. Mounted on cone bell mouths of air separator above water level is vertical cylindrical branch pipe with unit secured on its side surface and used for cascading escaping water jet; cascading unit is made in form of horizontal disk with shells mounted concentrically relative to branch pipe. Height of each subsequent shell is lesser than that of previous one; upper edges of shells are provided with outer circular horizontal shelf. Cascading unit is made in form of tiers of horizontal disks secured on side surface of branch pipe. Upper surface of each disk is provided with circular bead; diameter of outside circle of this bead is lesser than diameter of disk circle.

EFFECT: enhanced clarification of water.
