FIELD: organizing no-break heat and power supply to important users.
SUBSTANCE: hydrocarbon fuel energy is converted by means of dc motor-generator and internal-combustion engine into dc power and stored in storage batteries; excess power is conveyed to user by means of voltage inverter; automatic control unit and power switching unit are used to start fuel supply to engine; at the dame time motor-generator is turned on to set engine in rotary motion followed by transfer to generator mode of operation in order to maintain operating voltage range across storage batteries; in the process engine rotation during automatic starting is maintained by feeding motor-generator from storage batteries and heat energy is picked off the engine.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability and reduced cost of power supply to user.
