FIELD: production of wallpaper.
SUBSTANCE: method involves applying foamed paint in the form of aqueous-polymer dispersion comprising microcapsules onto paper base by means of scanned-area roll for gravure printing; subjecting coated material to thermal processing at temperature of 120-150°C. Scanned-area roll has two gravure levels providing two levels of coating, with height of upper level coating exceeding by 15-20% height of lower level coating. Coating is applied at dry coating weight of 11.0-12.5 g/m2 and height of upper level coating is 0.09-0.12 mm. Area of upper level coating is 30-60% and area of lower level coating is 40-70% the total coating area. Before applying coating of foamed paint onto paper base, printed pattern is preferably applied. Wall paper produced by said method has low-height transparent foamed coating.
EFFECT: reduced manufacture costs owing to reduced weight of dry coating and wider range of kinds of wallpaper by imparting "chamois" effect thereto.
