FIELD: mechanization of amelioration works for improvement of old arable lands and development of new lands for agricultural utilization.
SUBSTANCE: method involves extracting stones from soil; separating soil from stones; immediately after discharge of stone-and-wood remains mass from separator, forming windrow therefrom and laying it onto compacted bed formed in predetermined manner, for example of curved shape. Apparatus has windrow forming device positioned behind separator, and covering working tool having curvilinear generatrix.
EFFECT: increased efficiency in removal of small stones and wood remains owing to reduced number of passes effectuated by stone harvesting machines, and reduced losses during stone removal process.
