FIELD: sealed packager for pourable food product.
SUBSTANCE: sealed package 1, 1' is formed of sheet wrapping material and has upper wall 6, transversal sealing strip 15 crossing the wall 6 and forming flat tab 21 bent so that tab is coplanar with upper wall 6 and abuts above wall along fold line 21. Upper wall 6 part defined by sealing strip 15 has opening means 8. Tab 21 has flat band-like part 25 located between sealing strip 15 and fold line 22 so that area of upper wall part 6 accessible for opening means 8 unsealing is increased for value equal to width of above flat band part 25. Method of package production is also disclosed.
EFFECT: increased accessible area in upper package wall and, as a result, increased possible size of opening means to be installed in upper wall part.
