COMPOSITION OF COMPLEX-FORMING AGENT ON BASE OF HYDRATABLE SODIUM TRIPOLYPHOSPHATE AND METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF SUCH COMPOSITION Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

Abstract RU 2263632 C1

FIELD: production of complex-forming agents of base of hydratable sodium tripolyphosphate having multi-component homogeneous structure.

SUBSTANCE: proposed composition is used as active component of high-quality detergents and cleaning agents and production of food-stuff, fodder and medical polyphosphate-containing preparations. Used as main starting material for chemical synthesis of said product are phosphoric acid and soda. Multi-component complex-forming agent contains homogeneous mixture of first and second phases of anhydrous sodium tripolyphosphate and its hexahydrate and potassium, manganese (Mn) and/or vanadium (V)compounds in the amounts of 20-100 ppm. For obtaining granulated (more than 0.4 mm) material, water-soluble organic compounds, copper may be added in the amount of 0.04-0.7 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of product. Used as sources of potassium compounds are potassium-containing soda produced in the course of complex processing of nepheline into alumina , soda, potash and cement or double salt (K2CO3*Na2C03) and semiproduct of the same procedure. Used as sources of compounds Mn and V is extraction phosphoric acid on base of Kola apatite concentrate. Specific feature of proposed method consists in treatment of granulated anhydrous sodium Na5P3O10 at size of grains of 0.5-3.0 mm at temperature of 60-120°C by sodium hexahydrate tripolyphosphate; mixture is subjected to homogenization in the course of grinding. Drying of cleaned lyes is performed in revolving drum-granulator equipped with reverse screw feeder. Besides that, heat treatment of material is performed in drier together with nodulizing of particles due to spraying of cleaned lyes on curtain of granules recirculated by reverse screw feeder; heat treatment is performed at temperature of 150-370°C; cooling of product is performed in fluidization mode in fluidized-bed apparatus or in horizontal drum. Consumption of fuel is reduced by 10-20% as compared with present designs.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
