FIELD: erection and arc welding of pipe lines made from high-strength cast iron; heat-power engineering; oil and gas industries; construction engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed alloy for erection welding of pipe lines made from high-strength cast iron contains constituents at the following ratio, mass-%: carbon, 1.50-1.70; silicon, 0.70-0.90; manganese, 0.70-0.80; nickel, 43.5-45.5; sulfur, no more than 0.025; phosphorus, no more than 0.025; the remainder being iron; ratio of content of carbon to content of silicon ranges from 1.67 to 2.43. Alloy may be obtained in form of welding wire by metallurgical refining process or in form of composition at melting the welding wire and electrode coating. Proposed alloy has low chilled layers; graphite-pearlite structure may be obtained in transient zone; process requires neither preheating nor annealing of welded joints.
EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability and corrosion resistance of welded joints.
