FIELD: temporary bridges, particularly demountable bridges.
SUBSTANCE: bridge element comprises two metal tracks connected one to another by tie members and side wings. Each track has two main means, diaphragms and carriageways. Strips of high-strength material, for instance of coal-plastics, are connected to lower belts of main beams. Side wings are pivotally connected to inner side of each track carriageway. Side wings are provided with rotary mechanism having hydraulic cylinders and foldable struts. Body of each hydraulic cylinder is pivotally connected to inner side of carriageway, rod thereof is secured to foldable strut. Foldable strut has upper and lower sections connected by hinge unit arranged on outer strut wall. Each foldable strut is connected with side wings by the first end and with side lower part of track by the second end, wherein strut is connected to side wings and track by means of hinge unit. Tie members between tracks are made as telescopic control rods provided with fixing mechanism. Fixing mechanism has fixing fingers installed in guiding means having springs, sections and haulage rope. Both ends of haulage rope are attached to fixing fingers. Haulage rope engages ring connected to foldable strut. The bridge section mass is 12% less than that of prior art bridge elements.
EFFECT: reduced mass, possibility to close space between tracks with side wings and, as a result, increased traffic capacity, simplified structure and increased reliability of mutual track connection.
