FIELD: rolled stock production, namely constructions of rolls for step rolling of round shapes.
SUBSTANCE: roll includes reduction portion with flat barrel, sizing portion with groove and transition portion between said two portions also having groove whose shape and size gradually change from those of sizing portion till flat barrel. Transition portion has radius R1 drawn from rotation axis O of roll. Curvature center O1 of reduction portion is arranged in line passing through rotation axis O of roll and point being interface of reduction and transition portions. Spacing from axis O1 till axis O is equal to eccentricity value of reduction portion. Curvature radius of reduction portion is drawn from curvature center O1. Boundary of transition and reduction portions is arranged in touching point of arcs forming reduction portion and transition portion along groove apex. Invention provides smooth transition zone from reduction portion to transition portion.
EFFECT: enhanced quality of round bars.
