FIELD: constructions of mills for rolling metals in vacuum.
SUBSTANCE: mill includes rolling stand having drive unit, guide, pusher arranged in chamber of rolling stand with branch pipe. Flange of said branch pipe is connected through first vacuum gate with vertical heating furnace. Rolling stand also has fore-chamber for charging billets equipped with apparatus for transporting billet and holding it in heating zone; with second vacuum gate mounted in upper flange. Branch pipe of rolling stand also includes additional lower flange being coaxial relative to furnace. Fore-chamber is joined with additional flange of chamber of rolling stand and it is equipped with vacuum sealing unit in lower flange. Apparatus for transporting billets and holding them in heating zone is in the form of water-cooled shaft-conveyer having pan in its upper end. Pan is mounted coaxially to furnace by means of guiding rollers with possibility of vertical motion together billet from fore-chamber through second vacuum gate, branch pipe of rolling stand, first vacuum gate to heating furnace by means of drive unit joined with lower end of shaft-conveyer arranged outside fore-chamber. Pan has fluted working surface of low heat conducting refractory materials. Guide of rolling stand is provided with manipulators having changeable grips.
EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability and efficiency of mill, absence of high-cost refractory materials.
