FIELD: fish industry.

SUBSTANCE: otter trawl board has profiled carrier plate, slats, upper and lower washers, ballast adapted for imparting stable position to otter board during trawling and positioned in lower part of otter board, stringers for imparting desirable rigidity to otter board, central stringers for securing of otter trawl board arch, combs for attachment of trawl cables, and wire. Otter trawl board arch is arranged symmetrically to axis of plate and slats. Wire attachment device is positioned on horizontal axis of symmetry of plate and slats. Trawl upper cable is fixed to comb, in the vicinity of upper washer of otter board, and lower cable is fixed to comb in the vicinity of lower washer. Carrier plate and slats are curved along chain line described by formula where , T_o is horizontal thread tension component; q is weight of 1 running meter of thread, and curvature of slats is identical to that of carrier plate. Combs, central stringers and trawl board arch are equipped with openings for adjustment of otter trawl board in accordance with angle of attack, heeling and trim.

EFFECT: increased thrust owing to improved hydrodynamic characteristics.
