FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: seal comprises housing connected with the housing of an apparatus, bushing mounted on the shaft, flexible rings interposed between the bushing and shaft, additional seals interposed between the bushing and seal housing, and stops for preventing the bushing against rotation and axial movement. The flexibility of the additional seals in radial direction is higher than that of the flexible rings. The bushing and housing of the seal are provided with passages for flowing coolant. The coolant outflows from the passages of the seal housing and inflows to the passages of the bushing between the additional seals. The flexible rings are made of rubber, have round cross-section, and are overlapped in part by the fluoroplastic film arranged in the zone where the ring rubs against the shaft.
EFFECT: prolonged service life and enhanced reliability.
