DOCK SHORE Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC B63C5/02 

FIELD: shipbuilding; manufacture of dock shores.

SUBSTANCE: system of dock shores is mounted on movable platform installed on frame for motion in direction orthogonal to dock center plane. Frame is installed on pontoon deck of dock at contact with one of its sides; it is provided with port for bearing base which is of insertion construction. All shores are sectional in construction and are provided with flexibly-mounted docking blocks and profiled detachable pads. Remotely-controlled drive of shores is made in form of rope-and-block system of movable platform whose drive is secured on side wall. Length of frame in direction transversal relative to dock center plane may be lesser than width of pontoon deck. Frame, platform and docking blocks may be made from welded metal structures; frame may be used for mounting additional platforms.

EFFECT: improved service characteristics due to mobility of dock shores; facilitated procedure of docking the ships.
