FIELD: glassware control means, particularly methods and plant for glassware transportation through visual control stations.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises the first and the second round matrixes of alternating opposite engaging fingers to grip the glassware items and means to move the fingers one towards another or one from another to engage or release the glassware. The device also has means to move opposite engaging fingers through a number of stations. The device also has the first and the second slides carrying the first and the second matrixes correspondingly to provide rotation thereof about common axis, means for finger movement has members for one or two carriages rotation relative another one about common axis. Means for opposite gripping finger rotation comprise means to provide slide rotation about common axis to transport the glassware through a number or stations. The method involves providing the first and the second round matrixes having alternating opposite engagement fingers for glassware; moving at least one matrix towards another one along with simultaneously engaging glassware in the stations; rotating the first and the second matrixes about common axis to provide indexing of glassware engaged by fingers between the stations, moving at least one matrix from another one and releasing the glassware items at the stations.

EFFECT: increased speed of glassware transportation and transporting capacity.
