FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to protect surfaces of feeders and body forming wheel arch from corrosion. Fender and/or body flanging protection element is made of corrosion-resistant material installed for adjoining inner surface of flanging and provided with two flanges forming slot for said flanging. First flange is made for adjoining outer surface of flanging, and at least part of second flange is made for adjoining inner surface of flanging. First flange can be made with width sufficient only for adjoining outer surface of flanging, or can be made with bent edge for enclosing part of feeder or body adjoining the flanging, or projection beyond the limits of fender or body. Width of second flange can be less than width of first flange but sufficient for adjoining through said flange to part of inner surface of flanging, or part of second flange can be made for adjoining inner surface of flanging, its edge can be bent to adjoin inner surface of section of fender or body adjoining the flanging.
EFFECT: reduced labor input at mounting and repair of wheel arch protection elements.
