SUBSTANCE: device can be used for measuring level of grain-crops, products of their processing, building raw materials and so on. Device has container for loose material with string which has lower end fastened to bottom of container. The string is strained at its top part by means of external stretching unit. Device also has oscillation detector mounted onto string and measurement unit. For concentrating longitudinal oscillations, string is completely or partially made in form band.

EFFECT: improved precision of measurement; simplified process of manufacture.
