METHOD FOR MAKING OSTEOSACROVAGINOPEXY IN CARRYING OUT TRANSVAGINAL HYSTERECTOMY Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A61B17/42 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves separating rectum from right rectovaginal ligament with forefinger and the rectum is moved left. The rectal arches are perforated with the forefinger above the sciatic spine. The sciatic spine is identified. Right sacrospinal ligament area is exposed in medial position with respect to the spine. Free tissues and cellular tissue are displaced. Vaginal stump is fixed on right sacrospinal ligament in medial position 2 cm far from the ischium. To accomplish it, bridge is formed from 1x3 OR 2x4 cm large GyneMESH^TM prolene flap. Distal end of the flap attached to the right sacrospinal ligament with nonabsorbable sutures. The vaginal stump is attached to the proximal end with two or three long ligatures manufactured from nonabsorbable suture material. Anterior vaginal wall wound is sutured. The retained ligature ends are tightened.

EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment irrespective of vagina length; high quality of functional treatment results.
