FIELD: timber and wood working industries.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport engineering and it can be used for carrying and sorting of timber at enterprises of timber and wood-working industries. Proposed cross member for timber contains bar with supports, traction member fasteners and sable in form of flexible posts. Flexible member rests on posts though rollers. Ends of flexible member are secured on bar, and its middle part is connected to bar by spring. Spring is installed along axis of traction member, being connected by its middle part to flexible member, and by front and rear ends, to cantilevers of plate rigidly installed on bar. Front and rear ends of spring have equal rate.

EFFECT: improved reliability of cross member in operation by preventing destruction of saddle.
