FIELD: petroleum processing and disposal of waste.
SUBSTANCE: neutralized acid sludge is subjected to thermal oxidation with air oxygen at 90°C using oxidation catalyst based on galvanic slime. When performing thermal oxidation process, radical acceptor (captax, or mercaptobenzothiazole) is additionally introduced in amount 0.5% based on the weight of acid sludge.
EFFECT: stabilized softening temperature of product and avoided coking of bitumen binder in oxidation stage.
