FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the improved method for preparing octa-(4,5-n.-butyl)-phthalocyanine. Method is carried out by heating 4,5-di-(n.-butyl)-phthalonitrile with alkaline metal compound and the following demetallization of formed product wherein dry sodium hydroxide is used as alkaline metal compound. Heating is carried out up to temperature 200-220°C and formed melt is kept at this temperature for 10-15 min. Invention provides significant simplifying method in preparing octa-(4,5-n.-butyl)-phthalocyanine with simultaneous reducing cost and enhancing its yield by 2.15-fold.
EFFECT: improved preparing method.
