FIELD: sewing engineering, in particular, transportation of material in automatic and semi-automatic embroidery machines, and also in embroidery attachments for sewing machines.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus has movable guide with working carriage and at least one immovable guide with transportation carriage, said guides being arranged in mutually perpendicular position with respect to one another, embroidery frame rigidly connected to working carriage, and controllable electric drives for carriages with transportation mechanisms and electric engines. Movable guide is positioned for movement along immovable guide and relative to electric engine of working carriage, and electric engine is positioned for movement in parallel with immovable guide. According to preferred embodiment, electric engine is connected with additional controllable electric drive. Absolute value of displacement of movable guide relative to electric engine of working carriage is selected to be greater than predetermined length of stitch.
EFFECT: reduced inertia force in apparatus design components resulting in increased precision of positioning material and, as a consequence, increased efficiency of embroidery machines and improved quality of embroidery.
