FIELD: hydraulic building, particularly to recover water permeability of hydraulic structure (water-permeability reduction) made of low-temperature ground and rock, especially in permafrost areas and to create and repair antifiltering screens of ground dams built in permafrost zones.

SUBSTANCE: method involves mudding ground with waterproofing polymeric composition by interval injection of above composition under pressure less than ground hydraulic fracturing pressure. The waterproofing polymeric composition includes structure-forming agent, namely polyvinyl alcohol, in amount of 3.0-10.0% by weight, boric acid in amount of 0.2-1.0% by weight, remainder is water. The waterproofing polymeric composition may form gel at positive temperature and cryogenic gel during freezing-thawing processes.

EFFECT: increased water-tightness, structural strength and waterproofing properties, increased binding ability to carbonate material.
