METHOD FOR SEALING OF CONNECTION BETWEEN ZIPPER FASTENER AND CLOTHING PIECE WITH LAYER Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A44B19/32 A41H37/00 

FIELD: sealing of connection between two carrier tapes, to which watertight zipper fastener teeth are attached, and two edges of clothing piece consisting of first or watertight layer and second or fabric layer, said layers being positioned onto one another.

SUBSTANCE: method involves the steps of applying onto first side of each of said two carrier tapes strip of thermally sealable textile material attached to this side through at least one welded seam extending along longitudinal line so that each of said strips comprises first unattached strip and second unattached strip, one at each side of said welded seam, said strips lying in parallel with zipper fastener teeth lines; welding edge of first or watertight layer to one surface of strip maximally distant from zipper fastener teeth; securing edge of second layer to second side of each of carrier tapes by means of seam provided on portion between welded seam and zipper fastener; bending downward the strip proximate zipper fastener teeth so that said strip is extending in parallel with first side of respective carrier tape and is completely covering said portion; forming another welded seam which tightly seals contour of outer edges of strip with respect to related carrier tape around said portion. Set comprises watertight zipper fastener and carrier tapes, to which teeth are secured, wherein strip of thermally sealable material is welded to first side of each carrier strip along longitudinal seam. After welding procedure said strip has first unattached strip and second unattached strip, which are extending lengthwise of each side of welded seam and in parallel with teeth lines.

EFFECT: simplified implementation of said group of inventions and enhanced reliability in hermetical sealing of connection between zipper fastener and pieces of clothing.
