FIELD: apparatuses for coiling strips.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes drum having hollow drive shaft; segments; mechanism with central tie rod for drawing segments apart; mechanism for clamping strip end portions having row of spring-loaded clamps and supporting cleat. Mechanism for drawing segments apart is in the form of eccentrics mounted by means of axles onto hollow shaft and having stems jointly connected with central tie rod. Each spring-loaded clamp is in the form two-arm lever jointly mounted in one segment. Working part of said lever is arranged in slit of adjacent segment and it may engage with supporting cleat secured to that adjacent segment.

EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability, enlarged manufacturing possibilities of apparatus.
