FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to end face seals of rotating shafts provided with coolers. Proposed device contains sealing unit, enclosing the shaft built-in cooler hydraulically connected with cooling liquid circulation circuit. Cooler housing consists of two bushings, blind end face sealed from one side and ring-type cooling liquid inlet and outlet member from other side. Cylindrical partition is placed inside housing. Screw grooves are made on inner surface of cooler housing formed by alternating screw projections of different height. Projections of lower height are optimum ribbed. Ring-type cooling liquid inlet and outlet member is provided with channels to swirl cooling agent entering the cooler, and end face seal of blind end face is provided with thin-walls rings with holes.
EFFECT: reduced energy consumption for cooling shaft end face seal under different modes of operation, facilitated removal of bubbles at starting when temperatures are close to boiling point of cooling agent.
