FIELD: underground building, particularly rotary tunnel shield adapted for all-purpose tunnel construction.
SUBSTANCE: rotor is made as cylindrical body with cutting members and slotting members connected to working body surface. The cutting members are provided with hard-alloy inserts. The slotting members are made as rectangular prisms with hard-alloy inserts. Cutting members are fixedly secured to holders made as rollers and freely located in cylindrical grooves of rotor body. Slotting members are also installed on holders and may rotate together with cutting members.
EFFECT: increased operational efficiency.
