FIELD: helicopter transmissions.
SUBSTANCE: proposed tail gearbox of helicopter transmission has pair of bevel gear wheels, drive and driven shafts, casing with internal partitions, sleeve, taper cover, oil intake and tail-rotor pitch control mechanism. Mounted in between splined end of driven shaft and driven gear wheel hub is movable intermediate bush having inner and outer splines; profile of outer splines of intermediate bush corresponds in form and sizes to respective tooth profile of spur gear. Drive gear wheel made integral with drive shaft is mounted in two bearing supports; inner races of bearings of front and rear supports of drive gear wheel are mounted on gear wheel tip and on drive shaft, respectively. Oil intake is provided with upper and lower oil entrapping wells in form of two castings which are separate from taper cover; these castings are connected to diaphragm in neck of taper cover on side of its larger flange; oil line for delivery of oil to bearing unit of outer support of drive shaft is connected to upper oil entrapping well of oil intake.
EFFECT: updating of construction; increased peak power; increased service life of tail gearbox.
