FIELD: mechanical engineering; conveyors.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to materials handling equipment, particularly, to two-chain vertically-closed conveyors with suspended load carrier for use in different industries. Invention is aimed at elimination of swinging of load carriers-cradles, increase of reliability and service life of two-chain vertically-closed conveyors and reduction of metal usage, labor input and cost of manufacture of chain traction member and load carriers-cradles. For this purpose traction member is provided with parallel traction leaf-chains, load carriers-cradles with side suspensions with trunnions hinge suspended from chains and support rolls in suspension units of load carriers-cradles between chains and side suspensions. Traction leaf chains have chain shafts in suspension units of load carriers-cradles with cantilever sections provided with blind axial holes. Support rolls are fitted for rotation on outer surfaces of cantilever sections of chain shafts, and trunnions of load carriers-cradles are driven into axial blind holes with clearance for turning and axial displacement.

EFFECT: elimination of swinging of load carriers-cradles, improved reliability and increased service life.
